I Have Four Eyes

"Why must I have four eyes when most of us have two?" asks a little girl who dislikes wearing glasses.

Mama tells her stories about Impressionist painters who created beautiful artwork. They had a unique perspective when viewing the world, just like her daughter.

Having two different ways of seeing is not a detriment, it is a gift. I Have Four Eyes encourages everyone to love what they are and embrace what they have.

Where To?

Father, Mother, Brother, and Sister are on a whimsical quest to find their perfect home. They live in a treehouse and then a boathouse, an igloo and even a shoe! But despite the wonders they encounter, each home has its challenges. So, the family continues their search, always hopeful and excited for what comes next.

This story is filled with imagination, adventure, and the comforting message that home is not a place, but a feeling we create with the people we love. It encourages children to appreciate family and the magic in everyday life.

More

Henry wants more and more stuff. His Grampa Bob explains that sometimes less is better. Are there times when MORE can be good? Help Grampa Bob and Henry make a list of things that are really important to have.

This story explores how sometimes, we put too much emphasis on things we want instead of focusing on the magic of what we have. It explores areas where MORE is too much and where MORE is never enough. The book teaches us to value the right things in life.

“Mrs. Stone's books tell wonderful stories and teach wonderful lessons.  I give them as birthday presents, Christmas presents and new baby presents!  Can't wait for the next one.”

— Caroline Whalen, Edwards, CO

“I have given both of the author's books to children as gifts. They loved her stories but the parents were even more impressed. Ms. Stone presents life situations in both of her books in a positive and very imaginative way. Can't wait for the next one!”
